| Well I have officially been offered a job. Its a christian studio called Plain Joe Studios. Its about a 45min commute which is better than the other options. The team there does a GREAT job with everything from web design to environmental graphics. I will have to do a little learning and working my way up, but it will be good for me. I am supposed to give them an answer on Monday. I have had a peace about it, but I just want to make sure the peace doesn't come from my fear of not finding a job.
Friday was my last day with First West. There was no farewell or see you later.. oh well. Just two years of some learning. Im glad that chapter is over. I will be glad to have a job where people understand what I do. Also having a boss who is supportive will be wonderful.
Cali is beautiful. We have decided that the best use of the saturdays is to go out to the beach with friends and play on our new boogie board. It still feels a little like we are on vacation, but it will sink in that this is home for the time being.

| So went through a vigorous one today. I had to take an indesign 2.0 test... too bad I have had to work on old software... I think I did ok. My face was red cause I was working so hard to get it done fast... That job, although very cool... would be an hour to hour and 1/2 commute.. SICK.
still on the hunt for the right job. I just ate too much pizza and now I am back to work.

| Im liking the new friends. It seems to happen fast here. Already we have a little group we are hanging out with and I have only been here a week.
You know I have been around more wine, beer, and cigars here at seminary then anywhere else. Its funny! We were definitely southern baptist around a lot of other southern baptist before this.
Watched the fireworks at the rosebowl. Beautiful! They make a huge deal about July 4th here... its pretty fun. I can't imagine them having a fair with funnel cakes and such here... there is just no Louisiana food or Wayne Toups.. hmmm
so I painted our living room of the apartment this nice goldish/brown color... and it dried cheddar cheese. so I painted it again... gaucho ... just buy that color next time you are looking to paint. its at walmart. I love it.

| o so beautiful. I will upload some pics soon! jonathan just finished his third class and is doing good! we just painted our living room and are ready to set up house. still looking for a job... but things are really good.
we have internet now! that is real nice.
